Occupational Therapist School Setting in Verdi, NV

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist interested in supporting K-8 students on a part-time basis. This position is based near Verdi, NV, serving young learners in a dynamic educational environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Nevada (or eligibility)
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within school settings (K-8)
• Background in home health or healthcare OT considered an asset
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Patience, adaptability, and commitment to supporting diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and needs
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans and interventions for K-8 students
• Support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and social participation goals
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure integrated support
• Provide strategies and modifications for classroom participation and home carryover
