Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across Ingham County as a School Occupational Therapist. We’re seeking two dedicated professionals to join an established educational team, providing essential therapy services to K–12 students for the upcoming school year. One full-time and one part-time role are available, beginning in September.
In this dynamic setting, you’ll work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to help students overcome challenges and achieve greater independence in their academic and daily activities. Placement will be confirmed within the district and may vary within Ingham County.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Michigan (required)
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with school-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Familiarity with IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and goal development
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Flexibility for full-time or part-time engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with educators and families
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support student participation in classroom and daily routines
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to maximize student outcomes
- Document and track student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Contribute to team meetings and share insights for student success
