Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Moderate or equivalent)
  • Previous teaching experience in special education settings preferred
  • Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
  • Strong communication skills for partnering with families, staff, and specialists
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse classroom and student needs
  • Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive environment
  • Resourceful problem-solving and classroom management abilities
  • Comfortable using relevant educational technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to meet student IEP goals
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to unique learning requirements
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
  • Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence
  • Support students with behavioral and emotional regulation as needed

This contract opportunity runs from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers the chance to positively influence students and families throughout the school year.
