Serving grades PreK through 8, this onsite position offers a collaborative environment, with the specific grade-level caseload to be determined upon placement. As you provide expertise in assessment, intervention, and consultation, your work will play a crucial role in the development and success of students across a dynamic school community.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Willingness and flexibility to work with any grade level, PreK-8
- Experience in school-based settings is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and consultation skills
- Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide consultation to teachers and families regarding effective interventions and supports
- Deliver direct and indirect services, including crisis intervention and behavioral support
- Collaborate with school staff to create positive, inclusive learning environments
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
