Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving high school students as a Social Studies General Education Teacher. This full-time, onsite position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, and offers the chance to positively impact young learners in a dynamic urban setting near Upper Darby, PA. You’ll work a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, focusing on empowering students and fostering a culture of engagement in your classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Pennsylvania teacher certification or licensure for high school social studies, or a bachelor’s degree (to qualify for an emergency teaching permit)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a school environment, ideally in an urban setting
  • Strong classroom management and behavioral management skills
  • Mastery of social studies content, with effective instructional and resource utilization
  • Ability to design engaging, differentiated lesson plans aligned to current state and district standards
  • Must complete all required PA clearances prior to start
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Comfortable adapting to district protocols and location-specific expectations
  • Availability to work onsite, without modification to the daily schedule
