Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant elementary school setting. Your expertise will shape the educational experience for students in grades 3, 4, and 5, within both our ABA and FLEX self-contained classrooms. Collaborate with staff dedicated to providing supportive, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience or familiarity with ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) strategies is valued.
- Comfortable working in self-contained classrooms with elementary-aged students.
- Ability to adapt instruction to support a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and tailor lesson plans to meet each student’s IEP goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture in both ABA and FLEX settings.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialists, and families to support student progress.
- Track and document student growth, making adjustments to instruction as needed.
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with all educational and behavioral protocols.
