Physical Therapist - School Setting in Lakewood, WA

Serving a caseload of 35-40 students, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing their educational experience and physical development.

This part-time position offers 7.5 hours each week, providing a consistent yet flexible schedule to support your work-life balance. As an integral member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll use your expertise to assess, plan, and implement therapy sessions that promote physical strengths and functional independence. All responsibilities are carried out on-site with no remote or hybrid work options, ensuring hands-on support and engagement with students and staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
• Active state license (or eligibility) to practice as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience providing PT services in school settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Proactive, creative, and compassionate approach to student care

Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluating and identifying students’ physical therapy needs
• Developing and executing individualized treatment plans to support educational goals
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and educational staff to maximize student progress
• Monitoring and documenting student outcomes to adjust interventions as needed
• Providing resources and guidance to school personnel to ensure effective therapy integration
