Providing specialized speech-language therapy services through teletherapy within a school district setting requires skilled professionals dedicated to student communication development. This contract position offers a full-time schedule delivering direct therapy services to students across the district from August through May, with potential pre- and post-planning days involved.

Location: Fort Benning, GA (with services extending to nearby Columbus, GA)
Type: Contract, full-time (minimum 37.5 hours per week)
Duration: August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services via telespeech and teletherapy platforms to address individual student needs.
  • Maintain detailed daily service logs to document therapy provided.
  • Collaborate with district staff during interviews to identify appropriate student age groups based on experience and preference.
  • Adapt therapy approaches in accordance with virtual school-based requirements and student caseloads, which vary annually.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License.
  • Valid Georgia Educator Certification for SLPs.
  • Proven experience providing virtual speech therapy services within educational settings.
  • Comfortable managing therapy documentation and digital reporting tools.
  • Ability to tailor services to diverse student communication needs.
