Engage in meaningful work with early childhood students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school-based setting for the upcoming academic year. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide maternity leave coverage, bringing your expertise to two welcoming school communities.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the state of Michigan (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment, especially with early childhood populations, is strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational staff
- Flexibility to adapt practices to suit each unique student’s needs
- SLPAs and VOCO candidates cannot be considered for this assignment
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to early childhood students following IEP and district guidelines
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and administrators to facilitate student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Support students in reaching their communication goals through engaging, evidence-based interventions
Role Details:
- Full-time opening in one location and a part-time opening in another, allowing you to tailor your schedule
- Contract position covering from December 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027
