Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students in an in-person school setting near Niles, MI. Work directly with an ASD population, making a measurable impact over the course of the academic year. This position runs from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027, for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
- Current SLP license in the state of Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFY candidates may be considered
- Previous experience working with children on the autism spectrum (ASD population)
- Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students with ASD
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ communication needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by the school and district protocols
- Engage students through tailored interventions to promote academic and social success
