Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during the 2026–2027 school year. This contract role offers a part-time, flexible schedule, with in-person sessions preferred—although hybrid or virtual arrangements are possible for the right candidate. You’ll play a pivotal part in fostering growth and confidence in a caseload of approximately 10 students requiring case management and an additional 20 that you will serve, most of whom are mainstreamed and working on speech/communication and autism-related goals.
Ideal candidates bring experience or credentials in school-based SLP, are comfortable with a range of middle school communication needs, and understand how to support students with autism—especially those who spend most of their day in a mainstream setting. Whether you are a seasoned SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or new to the school environment, your skills and empathy can make a real difference in this vibrant educational community.
Desired qualifications:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CFY or SLP-CCC)
- School-based pediatric experience preferred
- Comfort with both speech/communication and autism caseloads
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled in direct intervention, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Flexible to provide in-person, hybrid, or virtual services as needed
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide individualized therapy for students
- Develop and implement IEP goals
- Partner closely with teachers and staff to ensure integration of communication strategies
- Engage families in supporting student progress
- Maintain accurate records and timely communications
