Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Home Infusion Pharmacist in Philadelphia, PA, specializing in sterile compounding within a pharmacy setting. This role involves preparing customized sterile medications, including IV fluids, in a controlled environment adhering to strict aseptic techniques to guarantee patient safety.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Duration:
- 8+ weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications according to USP and USP standards
- Oversee and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians in a low-volume setting
- Maintain cleanroom equipment and ensure a sterile environment
- Conduct final inspections of compounded preparations to ensure accuracy and safety
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pennsylvania pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in sterile compounding
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining sterile environments and patient safety
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff
