Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students as a vital member of a dedicated occupational therapy team. You'll make a meaningful impact by providing essential evaluations and supervision across a vibrant school district, collaborating with 2-3 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to meet diverse student needs.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver occupational therapy services following students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations and supervise COTAs, offering guidance and expertise
- Utilize the ESPED IEP system to efficiently manage documentation and casework
- Maintain and submit accurate weekly timelogs for timesheet approval
- Work district-wide with a manageable, supportive team across multiple locations (within a small district)
- Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families to encourage student progress
We are seeking candidates who bring:
- A valid Occupational Therapy license and authorization to practice as an OT in Texas
- Previous experience delivering OT services in a school setting
- Familiarity and experience navigating ESPED (IEP system)
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for supervising and managing caseloads
- Collaborative spirit, ready to work closely with fellow OTs and COTAs
This full-time contract spans 37.5 hours weekly through May 2027, delivering a consistent, hands-on schedule during the school year—perfect for those who thrive in student-centered, educational environments.
