Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Location: Little Rock, AR
Type: Contract (13 weeks, temp to hire option)
Schedule:
- 7 nights on/7 nights off
- 12-hour shifts, Thursday through Wednesday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Scheduling flexibility available
Key Responsibilities:
- Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions and patient medication histories.
- Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of pharmacy data, complying with all regulatory standards.
- Verify correct dosages specific to pediatric patients’ diagnoses, weights, ages, and body surface areas.
- Monitor and intervene in drug therapy problems such as allergies, interactions, or adverse reactions.
- Recommend cost-effective and therapeutically equivalent alternatives when appropriate.
- Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and staff training activities.
- Manage medication ordering, substitutions, inventory, and drug utilization reviews.
- Serve as a professional resource within patient care areas to promote optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Arkansas pharmacist license preferred; candidates in process of obtaining a temp license are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
- IV experience or IV certification preferred.
- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) credential is a plus.
