ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Half Moon Bay, California to hire Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Details

• Full-time opportunities
• On-site positions
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Multiple openings available across Special Education programs

Special Day Class (SDC) Teacher Openings:

• 2 SDC Teacher positions available

Required credentials:

• Autism Credential
• Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe) Education Specialist Credential

Classroom assignments:

• 1 SDC Teacher: Pre-K students
• 1 SDC Teacher: Transition Kindergarten-aged students

Resource Specialist (RSP) Teacher Openings:

• 2 RSP Teacher positions available

Required credential:

• Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential

Classroom assignments:

• 1 RSP Teacher: Elementary school, one school site
• 1 RSP Teacher: Elementary school, two school sites

Requirements

• Active California Special Education credential required based on assignment:
• Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential for RSP positions
• Autism Credential and Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential for SDC positions
• Previous school-based special education experience preferred
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs encouraged

Job Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and services
• Support students in SDC and RSP settings across assigned grade levels
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth

Pay

• $36–38/hour (based on experience, credentials, and placement)
