Pharmacy Technician in Bellefonte, PA

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support a busy hospital pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician, helping to ensure accurate preparation and distribution of medications. This role is contract to hire and is based in a Pennsylvania medical center known for high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy, preparing and dispensing medications under supervision.
• Accurately interpret prescriptions and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and clinical staff to provide timely medication delivery.
• Manage inventory, ensure proper labeling, and follow safety protocols.
• Work 10-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week, with weekday and weekend coverage; typical shift times are either 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:15 AM to 8:45 PM.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and as part of a healthcare team.
• Availability to work required weekend shifts; no holiday shifts are necessary.
