Job Description
Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students across Ingham County beginning this September. Two Occupational Therapists are needed—one full-time and one part-time—to make a difference with K-12 learners in a dynamic school-based setting. Placement will remain within Ingham County, with specifics to be determined prior to the start date.
Essential Qualifications:
- Holds an active, valid Occupational Therapy license for Michigan
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt therapy practices to diverse student needs and educational goals
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in both independent and team settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students across grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to address students’ needs and optimize functional participation in school activities
- Maintain diligent and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and other interdisciplinary team processes
- Deliver therapy both one-on-one and in small groups as warranted
- Provide guidance and recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment when necessary
