Pharmacist in Red Rock, AZ

A full-time night pharmacist is sought to support a 200-bed hospital located in Tucson, AZ. This contract opportunity involves working a consistent night shift schedule and providing essential pharmacy services in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with physicians to advise on drug selection and dosing
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medication use and safety
• Participate in medication safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
• Review and manage patient medication profiles
• Monitor, avoid, and report adverse drug reactions promptly
• Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements with precision
• Maintain strict narcotic accountability and documentation

Schedule and Duration:

• 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 days off (Wednesday through Tuesday)
• Immediate start preferred
• 13-week contract with the possibility to convert to temp-to-hire

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of medication safety and drug information
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience preparing IV admixtures and managing narcotics is essential
