What We’re Looking For:

  • Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification with an endorsement in English
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or related field
  • Experience with general education ELA curriculum at the secondary level
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to effectively use technology to support teaching and engage students
  • Flexibility, collaboration mindset, and commitment to student achievement

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage a welcoming classroom environment encouraging both academic and personal growth
  • Build positive relationships and open dialogue with students, families, colleagues, and school community members
  • Inspire students to develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking abilities
  • Integrate educational technology to enhance instruction and learning outcomes
  • Maintain clear classroom structure and uphold school policies
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by administration
