Location: Tampa, FL

Job Type: Full-Time

Setting : OD/MD with shared patient care

Rotate between the Tampa and Brooksville offices approximately 1-2 days per week.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a patient-focused Optometrist (OD) to join a well-established, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice serving patients in Tampa and Brooksville, FL. This role is ideal for an experienced Optometrist who enjoys collaborating with ophthalmologists in a shared patient care environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations for new and established patients.

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage ocular diseases and vision conditions.

  • Provide contact lens evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care.

  • Co-manage cataract, refractive surgery, glaucoma, and cornea patients alongside ophthalmologists.

  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive eye care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience.

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards.

  • Rotate between the Tampa and Brooksville offices approximately 1-2 days per week.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Active Florida Optometry License or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment.

  • Minimum 2+ years of Optometry experience preferred.

  • Experience in a medical optometry and ophthalmology practice preferred.

  • Comfortable co-managing surgical patients alongside ophthalmologists.

  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
