Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (required)
  • Prior high school special education teaching experience preferred
  • Familiarity with developing, implementing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with students, parents, and educational staff
  • Ability to adapt curriculum for learners with a variety of disabilities and learning styles
  • Positive attitude, patience, and a true commitment to student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support for students in a high school special education setting
  • Create and maintain IEPs in compliance with all state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to accommodate student needs in the classroom
