Step into a meaningful role supporting students in grades 3–5 as a contracted Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026–27 school year. This position provides an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by working in an intermediate school setting, helping young learners enhance their fine motor and sensory processing skills. Enjoy the balance of a flexible schedule with shifts from 8:05 am to 2:45 pm, 2–3 days a week—either as two full days or several shorter shifts to suit your availability.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active state license and certification to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
  • Experience working within a school environment and supporting students in grades 3–5
  • Strong background in consultative models, with the ability to provide direct services for fine motor and sensory needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to collaborate effectively with educators and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student consultations and collaborate with teachers to provide targeted support strategies
  • Deliver direct therapy services focusing on fine motor development and sensory processing when required
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in student support meetings and provide input for educational plans and interventions
  • Maintain compliance with state and local practice guidelines and uphold professional and ethical standards

This contract is set to begin September 8, 2026 and runs through June 16, 2027, serving a dedicated caseload of approximately 25 students all within a supportive intermediate school building. This is a chance to tailor your expertise in a rewarding and collaborative learning environment.
