Inspire young musicians and share your passion for music as an Elementary Band Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! This role is a contract position spanning from August 6, 2026, through May 25, 2027, with a full-time weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. You will play a vital role in supporting students' early music education, cultivating instrumental skills, and fostering a love for the performing arts in an onsite environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Louisiana Teaching License/Certification, including all necessary endorsements for music or band instruction
• Previous experience in a general education or elementary music/band teaching role
• Strong classroom management and organization skills
• Ability to motivate and engage elementary-aged learners
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, inspiring, and growth-oriented classroom
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans for elementary band students
• Lead individual and group instruction on band instruments
• Organize rehearsals, performances, and music events throughout the school year
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development
• Maintain accurate attendance and performance records
