The Grant Accountant oversees the administration, compliance, financial tracking, and reporting of a portfolio of 20+ government grants. This role serves as a liaison between funding agencies, program staff, and leadership to ensure grant funds are managed effectively and all reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal, state, county, and city grants.
- Track grant expenditures, reimbursements, receivables, and restricted funding.
- Prepare grant budgets, budget revisions, and reimbursement requests.
- Monitor compliance with grant agreements and reporting requirements.
- Maintain grant calendars, deadlines, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather required reporting data.
- Track employee time and expenses charged to grants.
- Support audits, grant closeouts, and financial reconciliations.
- Provide ongoing grant status updates to leadership.
- Assist with accounting and billing functions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or grant administration experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Nonprofit experience highly preferred.
- Government grant administration experience preferred.
- NetSuite experience highly preferred.
