Hospital Pharmacist - Boise, Idaho

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 40-bed rehabilitation hospital in Boise, ID. This contract position starts ASAP and spans 13 weeks or longer, working Monday through Friday during day shifts. The facility utilizes Cerner as its IT system, offering a stable environment for pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth and compliant workflows
• Consult with nursing staff and physicians on medication therapy and clinical decisions
• Utilize pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient therapeutic outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Current Idaho pharmacist license or the ability to obtain licensure promptly
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a rehabilitation setting
• Strong understanding of medication order verification and clinical pharmacy practices
• Familiarity with Cerner health IT systems is desirable
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
