Key Qualifications:

  • Current Physical Therapy (PT) licensure and registration in the state
  • Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Organization and time-management skills to balance caseload requirements
  • Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students to determine physical therapy needs within an educational setting
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students’ physical development
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to align therapies with individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress, maintain records, and provide regular updates for IEP meetings
  • Offer guidance and training to school staff regarding adaptive equipment and accommodations
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for student engagement and participation
