Senior Die Cast Process Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop die casting processes and tooling for new product launches.

  • Lead engineering projects from concept through production implementation.

  • Develop and optimize aluminum die casting processes to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.

  • Analyze manufacturing processes, identify root causes of production issues, and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, tooling, and production.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and production personnel.

  • Support multiple manufacturing locations as needed.

  • Monitor process performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Utilize statistical methods and engineering principles to improve process capability.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and emerging die casting technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process engineering.

  • Experience with aluminum die casting process development.

  • Strong knowledge of foundry operations and die casting processes.

  • Experience with casting dies, metal pouring, process control, part removal, trimming, and finishing operations.

  • Experience with thermal management and process optimization.

  • Knowledge of statistical process improvement techniques.

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

  • Proficiency with manufacturing software and engineering systems.

  • Experience with CAD software is preferred.

  • Knowledge of precision measuring equipment and inspection methods.

  • Ability to travel to multiple manufacturing facilities as required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
