Job Description
Make a meaningful difference each day by supporting students with unique learning needs in a dynamic high school environment. This full-time contract opportunity focuses on providing Life Skills instruction to a small group of approximately 10 students during the 2026–2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher license (must provide proof of licensure with application)
- Experience working with students requiring Life Skills support preferred
- Ability to deliver individualized and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Life Skills curriculum tailored to meet the needs of high school students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate within the special education team, including paraprofessionals and general educators
- Track, document, and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and classroom activities
- Participate in professional development and compliance requirements
Additional Details:
- Full-time, onsite role—35 hours weekly
- School hours: 7:20am–2:30pm
- Located in a supportive high school setting with dedicated resources
