Our organization, situated in Columbus, Ohio, is on the lookout for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to enhance our Medical Oncology team.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing the care of Hematology and Oncology patients. This includes managing inpatient consultations, attending to patients in the clinic, and rounding on individuals receiving chemotherapy at the outpatient infusion center.

The primary working hours will be during the day, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional requirements to cover different shifts.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Education: A Master's degree in Science, Nursing, or a related specialty is mandatory. Completion of an Advanced Practitioner program is required.
  • Licensure / Certification: A valid license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio is essential.
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the relevant specialty is required, with a preference for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Consideration will also be given to candidates with a Physician Assistant background.
  • A BLS provider certification is necessary.
  • ACLS, NRP, EFM, and PALS certifications may be required for certain departments.
  • Possession of a DEA license for controlled substances or the ability to obtain one as needed is required.
  • All qualifications mentioned are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience as an APP in oncology is required.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
