Job Summary
A transportation company in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate trips, support drivers, and help keep daily operations running smoothly. This temp-to-hire Dispatcher role is ideal for someone who enjoys scheduling, communication, customer service, and working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
In this position, you will serve as a key point of contact between drivers, customers, and management. You will help ensure trips are properly assigned, paperwork is accurate, and operations remain compliant with DOT regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate upcoming charter trips, schedules, itineraries, and customer details.
- Assign drivers based on availability, experience, customer needs, and DOT requirements.
- Communicate trip assignments, schedule updates, and important details to drivers and management.
- Prepare, distribute, collect, and process driver paperwork and trip documents.
- Support DOT compliance, company policy adherence, safety updates, and operational procedures.
- Assist with driver recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and quarterly driver meetings.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Location: Spartanburg, SC.
- Work Arrangement: Onsite.
