Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for practice within the state
- Previous experience within a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Proficient in assessing, planning, and implementing therapy goals for diverse student needs
- Demonstrated ability to adapt interventions for students with varied learning styles and challenges
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services for students as identified in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Employ effective assessment tools to evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills
- Develop and monitor progress on measurable goals in coordination with educators, families, and other support staff
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision-making
- Offer strategies, resources, and training to teachers and parents aimed at fostering student success
