Occupational Therapist School Setting - Prairieville, LA

Key Qualifications:

• Active OT license in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with school-based occupational therapy preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and families
• Ability to adapt interventions for a diverse K-8 student population
• Strong organizational skills and familiarity with IEP processes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-8 students as prescribed in their Individualized Education Plans
• Assess and document students’ functional abilities and needs within the school setting
• Develop and implement targeted intervention plans to improve academic and functional performance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and other specialists, for integrated student support
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Educate staff and families on techniques and accommodations to promote student success
