Occupational Therapist School Setting in Dearborn, MI

From August 24th through November 11th, provide vital support for elementary-aged learners and an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classroom. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Previous experience in a school-based OT role or with pediatric populations highly preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt OT interventions to varied developmental levels and needs
• Team-oriented mindset, collaborating closely with special education staff, teachers, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in both an elementary building and ECSE classroom, 2-3 days per week
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individualized interventions to promote student success and participation
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting goals as needed
• Consult and collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to integrate strategies throughout the school day
• Support IEP development and attend pertinent meetings during the assignment
• Foster a positive and encouraging environment for students of varying abilities
