Data Center Battery Technician

Position Overview
This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll be
working with a team installing and replacing battery systems inside data
centers and telecom environments. These batteries provide backup power to
critical infrastructure like internet and communication systems.
You’ll be supporting a large-scale battery replacement
(UPS) project across multiple sites.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing and replacing large industrial batteries (110–120 lbs each)
- Working inside data centers and telecom facilities
- Using basic hand tools to install and secure equipment
- Running and supporting cabling and hardware connections
- Following work orders, safety procedures, and installation standards
- Assisting with troubleshooting and ensuring systems are properly installed

This is a very hands-on and physical role, similar to installation work
but more labor-intensive.

Schedule, Travel & Logistics
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Potential for 1–2 hours of overtime daily
- Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
- You will be traveling to different data centers throughout Ohio and surrounding states
- Work will be at various job sites (not one fixed location)
- Must have reliable transportation

- Comfort with physical labor and lifting heavy equipment daily
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to travel and work in different environments

- Initial online training with EnerSys
- Hands-on training in the field
- Exposure to data center power systems (DC power)
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
