What We're Looking For:

  • Valid Ohio Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with K-12 student populations is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
  • Experience conducting and documenting assessments, especially for elementary-aged students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Travel between three designated school sites in the Akron area
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services, tailored to each student’s needs
  • Supervise and provide guidance to COTAs
  • Conduct a majority of evaluations and assessments at the elementary level, with fluctuating hours reflecting assessment demands during the school year
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, school administrators, and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and district guidelines
