Teacher in Lake Zurich, IL

Inspire creativity and foster a love of music in young learners as a full-time Music Teacher for grades K-2. This contract position runs from August 17 through May 27, 2027, and is located onsite, serving a vibrant elementary school community catering to Pre K-2 students. You will have the opportunity to shape children’s foundational music experiences, teach fundamental musical concepts, and support the artistic growth of each child in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s)
• Experience in curriculum design, lesson planning, and differentiated instruction
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities
• Passion for engaging young students in creative, interactive learning

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver dynamic K-2 music lessons tailored to young learners
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation
• Prepare students for performances and special music events throughout the academic year
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance interdisciplinary experiences
• Assess students’ musical growth and adapt instruction as needed
• Maintain organized records of student progress and participation
