Inpatient IV Certified Pharmacy Technician - Newark, NJ

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two Inpatient Pharmacy Technicians are needed to support pharmacy operations at a well-established hospital setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to apply your pharmacy technician skills in a fast-paced, hospital inpatient environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute medications in the inpatient pharmacy accurately and efficiently
• Assist with intravenous (IV) medication compounding and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Maintain proper inventory levels and assist with medication restocking
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare team members to optimize patient care
• Document all pharmacy activities in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician certification required
• IV certification is a must to perform sterile compounding responsibilities
• Experience working in a hospital inpatient pharmacy setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Knowledge of medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing procedures

Schedule:

• Position starts on August 24
• 13-week contract assignment
