Shift Differentials

\n

Eligible employees may earn additional compensation for qualifying hours:

\n

Evening hours: Additional $2.02 per hour between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
\n Night hours: Additional $4.50 per hour between 11:01 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
\n Weekend hours: Additional $1.87 per hour
\n Position Summary

\n

A hospital-based imaging department in Grants Pass, Oregon, is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a permanent night-shift position. The CT Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic examinations for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients.

\n

This position requires a dependable and self-sufficient technologist who can work independently when needed, start IVs, manage multiple priorities, and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.

\n

Key Responsibilities
\n Perform clinically comprehensive CT examinations that meet patient-care and diagnostic-quality standards.
\n Complete routine and advanced imaging procedures for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients.
\n Perform CT examinations with and without contrast.
\n Complete CT imaging of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, and extremities, including runoff studies.
\n Assist with CT-guided procedures.
\n Start IVs and administer contrast according to established protocols and scope of practice.
\n Explain examinations to patients and, when appropriate, their family members or support persons.
\n Answer questions and help reduce anxiety associated with CT procedures and equipment.
\n Position patients accurately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
\n Apply radiation-safety best practices, including appropriate shielding when necessary.
\n Work independently during portions of the assigned shift.
\n Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation.
\n Follow departmental safety, infection-control, and quality-assurance standards.
\n Requirements
\n Minimum of one year of CT Technologist experience.
\n Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography — ARRT(CT).
\n Current Basic Life Support certification — BLS.
\n Active or eligible Oregon Board of Medical Imaging licensure.
\n Ability to start IVs independently.
\n Ability to work ten-hour night shifts.
\n Availability to work weekends.
\n Ability to work alone when departmental coverage requires it.
\n Strong patient-care, communication, and image-quality skills.
\n Preferred Qualifications
\n ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography — ARRT(R)(CT).
\n Experience performing contrast and non-contrast CT examinations.
\n Experience with CT-guided procedures.
\n Experience supporting inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department populations.
\n Experience using GE CT equipment and post-processing technology.
\n Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.
\n Strong critical-thinking and time-management skills.

\n GE AW Server for image reconstruction and post-processing
\n Epic electronic medical records
\n OnePACS for after-hours teleradiology services
\n Department Information
\n Approximately 125-bed hospital
\n Two CT scanners
\n Hospital-based imaging department
\n No call requirement
\n Weekends are required
\n The technologist may work independently at times
\n Orientation and Training

New employees receive approximately one to two weeks of direct supervision and department-specific training from experienced staff.
