Exciting opportunities await skilled Occupational Therapists looking to make a meaningful impact in local school communities! Two contract roles are available for dedicated professionals to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade. These positions are perfect for those who are passionate about fostering student success and collaborating in an educational setting.
Available Positions:
- 0.8 FTE Occupational Therapist serving the South Seattle area, covering the full academic year (August 28 - June 18).
- 1.0 FTE Occupational Therapist in Southwest Seattle, starting January 4th and continuing through the end of the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid state Occupational Therapist licensure
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and families
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Compassionate approach to serving children with diverse needs across K-12th
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to each student’s needs
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation to track student progress and meet compliance requirements
- Consult with educators and parents to support classroom adaptations and student participation
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery
- Adapt therapy plans as required for diverse learning environments
