Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity for a licensed pharmacist with experience in long-term care and mail order settings is available for a 13-week contract. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a dynamic environment, ensuring patients receive appropriate and effective medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of over-usage.
  • Ensure medication supply complies with legal requirements.
  • Verify that prescribed medicines are suitable for patients’ conditions.
  • Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files meticulously.
  • Advise patients on medication use, possible side effects, and answer inquiries.
  • Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications, including dosage and drug interactions.
  • Offer patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications for internal or external use and prepare sterile solutions following proper protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
  • Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to address drug-related problems.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Washington State.
  • Experience in Long Term Care, Mail Order, or Retail pharmacy settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and supervise pharmacy staff.

Schedule:

  • Wednesday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Saturday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Location: South Jordan, UT
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
