Job Description
Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group comprising over 650 providers, and we are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a PRN Hospitalist to join our team in Nampa, Idaho. This group is part of a regional network that includes 32 physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) based in Boise. The Nampa team, consisting of 12 Hospitalists, oversees a high-acuity medical service at the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa. This facility features a closed ICU with 100 beds (set to expand to 250), and it operates as a Level III trauma community hospital. The Nampa location is recognized for its Time Sensitive Emergency classifications in Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists serve as the primary admitting service for most primary care providers within our network.
The typical patient demographic includes 40% adults and 60% geriatric patients. Hospitalists manage a variety of conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pancreatitis, strokes, neurological disorders, geriatric fractures, and other general medical issues. On average, rounding involves approximately 18 patient encounters each day.

The ideal applicant will possess a solid background in internal medicine or family medicine, complemented by Hospitalist training, and a keen interest in developing a practice that supports a growing multispecialty medical group. Additionally, Hospitalists will have the opportunity to engage in teaching residents. The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, with daytime hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and nighttime hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Support: Our Hospitalists benefit from 24/7 access to Anesthesia, Radiology, and Intensivists, along with a wide range of subspecialists from both our organization and the broader medical community.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with Hospitalist training also being acceptable.
- Board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment.
- Capability to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with a valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; privileges must be granted at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
RECRUITMENT PACKAGE:
- Compensation range: $175 to $192 per hour
