Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a school-based contract assignment for the 2026/2027 academic year. This position focuses on serving students through direct intervention and support, providing essential services both individually and in small groups. The primary preference is for an on-site professional; however, remote/virtual therapy may be considered for the right candidate. Anticipated caseload is approximately 30 hours per month, offering flexibility for experienced school SLPs looking to contribute their expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for Arizona (or ability to obtain by assignment start)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in a school setting assessing and treating pediatric communication disorders
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with IEP documentation and progress reporting
- Comfortable providing services on site or via teletherapy platforms if needed
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students identified with communication needs
- Complete evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain detailed records
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with staff to create best outcomes for students
- Consult with teachers and family members to support students’ communication goals within the classroom
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal policies related to speech-language services
- Provide regular progress updates and recommendations to stakeholders
