Job Description

Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Current certification in Wilson or Orton-Gillingham methodologies (required)
- Previous experience with middle school students preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a passion for student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement specialized instruction using Wilson or Orton-Gillingham approaches tailored to students’ learning needs
- Develop and adapt IEPs in partnership with families and support staff
- Monitor and assess student academic and social-emotional progress
- Manage classroom routines to encourage positive behaviors and a supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support personnel, and administration to facilitate inclusive practices
- Maintain accurate records and consistent communication with families regarding student growth
