Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Special Education.
  • Must hold certification in either Wilson or Orton-Gillingham methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and support personnel.
  • Thorough understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction using Wilson or Orton-Gillingham programs to support struggling readers and students with identified learning differences.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique abilities.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers to ensure consistent support and integration of services.
  • Conduct regular assessments and adjust instruction based on data to drive continuous improvement in student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records, including student progress, attendance, and compliance documentation.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices in special education.
