Step into a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position near Enosburg Falls, VT. This full-time opportunity places you in a supportive environment with a manageable caseload and no intensive needs, focusing on fostering growth for a group of enthusiastic 3rd and 4th grade students.

Your schedule will run Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, through June 17, 2027. You'll be working in a "regular" special education classroom setting, planning and delivering instruction, developing IEPs, and supporting the success of approximately 15-20 students.

Qualifications:

  • Active Vermont teaching certification in Special Education (required)
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
  • Confidence in managing a classroom and case load of elementary-aged students
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion and academic growth for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions to 3rd and 4th grade students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with families and contribute to team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation for all students assigned
