School Psychologist - Meriden, Connecticut

As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in promoting students’ emotional, social, and academic success. Working within an inclusive academy setting, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each child receives the support and understanding they need to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification (relevant state credentials required)
• Experience providing psychological assessments and direct support to students in elementary and middle school settings
• Strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support
• Proficiency in writing evaluations and developing effective intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
• Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on fostering resilience and coping skills
• Consult with staff to design classroom interventions that support student growth and positive school climate
• Serve as an active participant in interdisciplinary meetings and school-wide initiatives
