Job Description

Key Requirements:
- Valid SLPA license or certification, or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Previous experience in a school environment is preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
- Familiarity with implementing treatment plans developed by SLPs
- Ability to work effectively with students across a diverse range of abilities and backgrounds
- Comfortable adapting to the needs of multiple classrooms or age groups
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide direct speech-language assistance to students under supervision of the supervising SLP
- Support individual and small group activities designed to enhance language, articulation, and communication skills
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session activities
- Encourage and motivate students to participate fully in interventions
- Assist with preparation of therapy materials, scheduling sessions, and completing required paperwork
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and educational staff regarding student needs and progress
