An itinerant role is available for a dedicated SLP to serve K-12 students across four school sites. This full-time, in-person position is perfect for those who thrive on variety and making a meaningful impact with students of all ages. Set to start in August, with the potential for orientation or training in July 2025, this role offers a chance to hit the ground running as the school year begins.
Bring your expertise and energy Monday through Friday from approximately 7:30am to 3:00pm, as you collaborate with a supportive team that includes SLPA and CF professionals. Leverage your skills to provide high-quality therapy, develop individualized education plans, and help students unlock their communication potential.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for SLP in Virginia
- Previous experience in schools working with K-12 students is highly valued
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CF) and SLPA supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement IEPs, and track student progress
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Supervise and mentor SLPAs and CFYs, contributing to a positive team culture
- Travel daily between designated schools as part of an itinerant assignment
