Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
- Previous experience in a K-12 school environment is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, educators, and families.
- Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs.
- Commitment to ethical practice and continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students on a part-time basis (7.5 hours per week).
- Evaluate and assess students' needs, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Document progress and adapt interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate families and school staff on exercises and modifications to support students’ goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your professional insight to student planning.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state protocols.
