This contract position for the 2026-2027 school year is designed for a dedicated physical therapist seeking a meaningful, part-time role. You'll contribute your expertise directly within a school setting (no remote or hybrid options), fostering growth and improved physical outcomes for a caseload of 35-40 students each week.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • Previous experience in a K-12 school environment is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, educators, and families.
  • Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students on a part-time basis (7.5 hours per week).
  • Evaluate and assess students' needs, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Document progress and adapt interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Educate families and school staff on exercises and modifications to support students’ goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your professional insight to student planning.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state protocols.
