Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as an Educational Diagnostician supporting students in a vibrant school environment near New Orleans, LA. This full-time position (35 hours per week, Monday through Friday) begins as soon as possible and runs through late May 2027, aligning with the district's academic calendar. You'll be instrumental in evaluating and supporting students' educational needs, collaborating with educational teams, and making a lasting impact throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) Educational Diagnostician certification (must be current)
- Proven expertise working in school settings
- Ability to complete a separate drug screening and fingerprinting process per district requirements
- Flexibility to adapt to caseloads and campuses as assigned
- Passion for student-centered collaboration and innovation
- Immediate availability; candidates needing to obtain licensure will not be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate educational plans
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations
- Provide clear, timely, and thorough reports and documentation
- Serve as a resource to staff and families regarding assessment findings and recommendations
